Mentol bruges ofte som duftaroma og kan bl.a. tilsættes kosmetik og skønhedsprodukter. Mentol kan være behagelig til massage og fod- og dampbade. Mentol kan bruges bl.a. til fremstilling af salve, creme, tandpasta, mundskyl og hårvand. Mentol kan også blandes i massageolie, læbepomade og badesalt.
